Jane Willow is a Dublin-based Dutch-turned-Irish musician. She’s performed at Vicar Street, Whelan’s, Temple Bar Tradfest, Body & Soul and Electric Picnic. She’s opened for Glen Hansard, The Unthanks, Lisa Hannigan, Paddy Casey, Andy Irvine, Kíla, David Kitt, Aoife Scott and Mark Geary. And she’s shared the stage with Frances Black, Eleanor McEvoy, Vyvienne Long and Mundy.

Jane's debut album ‘Burn So Bright’ (2021) takes influences from Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake and Richard Hawley. It features Jane’s band and string quartet. With string arrangements by Joe Csibi (Head of RTE Concert Orchestra). With Dave Hingerty on drums (Glen Hansard, Josh Ritter) and guest performances by Steve Wickham (The Waterboys), Pat Byrne and more. In 2022 Jane performed continued her collaboration with violonist Steve Wickham (The Waterboys) and performed three double headline across Ireland (Sligo, Dublin, Galway).

Jane has released four singles off her album, which all got featured on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends playlist reaching about 40.000 to 50.000 listeners a day. For Women's Day 2021 the RTE Concert Orchestra also released an orchestral version of her song 'Let There Be Light’. Another song of the album ‘In Your House There’ will be used in an ad for charity organisation ALONE in 2023.

Jane Willow is een Nederlandse muzikante die sinds 2011 in Ierland als folk muzikante werkzaam is. Jane heeft in de afgelopen jaren op grote Ierse festivals zoals Temple Bar Tradfest, Body & Soul en Electric Picnic gespeeld. Ze heeft in het voorprogramma gestaan van Glen Hansard (van de film Oscar-winnende film ’Once’), de met Mercury prijs genomineerde band The Unthanks en Mark Geary, David Kitt en Kíla. Ze wordt  ook geprezen door Ierse muzikanten Luka Bloom en Francis Black.

Op haar debuut EP ‘Onward Still’ (2018) spelen onder andere Dave Hingerty (drums: Glen Hansard, Josh Ritter) en Vyvienne Long (cello: Damien Rice). In Ierland speelt Jane voor volle zalen met alleen haar gitaar en haar warme, oprechte stem omhanden.

In 2021 bracht Jane haar debuut album ‘Burn So Bright’ uit. Het was muzikaal beïnvloed door Damien Rice, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake en Richard Hawley. Op het album is Joe Csibi als strijker arrangeur (Baas van de RTE Concert Orchestra). En ook Steve Wickham (The Waterboys) en Pat Byrne (winnaar de Voice Ireland 2012) als gast muzikanten.

Er werden 4 singles van het album op de RTE Radio 1 Recommends playlist geplaatst. Hierbij werd Jane’s muziek dus voor 40.000 tot 50.000 luisteraars per dag gespeeld op het grootste radio station van Ierland: RTE Radio 1. En een van haar nummers van het album ‘In Your House There’ komt ook op een TV reclame van het Ierse goede doel ALONE in 2023.
