Jane Willow is a Dutch folk musician who moved to Ireland at age twenty-one to pursue music. Her music is laced with Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake influences. She experiments with folk and country elements, whilst keeping her rich, soft and velvet-like voice at center stage.

In recent years Jane’s played an incredible amount of gigs, performing at Vicar Street, Whelan’s, Temple Bar Tradfest and Electric Picnic. She’s supported the likes of Glen Hansard, The Unthanks, Kí­la, David Kitt and Mark Geary.

On her debut EP ‘Onward Still (Nov 2018) she collaborated with musicians Dave Hingerty (drums: Kíla, Josh Ritter), Vyvienne Long (cello: Damien Rice).

Her single ‘The Fool’ reached the finals of Radio Nova Discovered with radio DJ Colm Hayes picking it as his favourite song. Her single ‘Rise Above It All’ was released in September and picked up radioplay on BBC Radio Ulster, RTE Radio 1, PLAY IRISH and more. This winter Jane Willow will play a number of double headline shows with Hubert Murray.

Jane Willow is een Nederlandse muzikante die sinds 2011 in Ierland als folk muzikante werkzaam is. Jane heeft in de afgelopen jaren op grote Ierse festivals zoals Temple Bar Tradfest, Body & Soul en Electric Picnic gespeeld. Ze heeft in het voorprogramma gestaan van Glen Hansard (van de film Oscar-winnende film ’Once’), de met Mercury prijs genomineerde band The Unthanks en Mark Geary, David Kitt en Kíla. Ze wordt  ook geprezen door Ierse muzikanten Luka Bloom en Francis Black.

Op haar debuut EP ‘Onward Still’ (2018) spelen onder andere Dave Hingerty (drums: Glen Hansard, Josh Ritter) en Vyvienne Long (cello: Damien Rice). In Ierland speelt Jane voor volle zalen met alleen haar gitaar en haar warme, oprechte stem omhanden. In Nederland kreeg Jane een warm onthaal bij haar eerste uitverkochte show in De Mezz, Breda in 2018.

In 2019 bracht Jane haar derde single ‘The Fool’ uit die doorgaans op de Ierse nationale radio te horen was. Ook kwam ze met ‘The Fool’ in de finale te staan in een wedstrijd van de Ierse nationale radio omroep Radio Nova. In september kwam Jane’s vierde single ‘Rise Above It All’ uit en staan een aantal shows in Ierland en Nederland in de planning.
